Job Summary Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Golf Customer Service Representative is responsible for selling pro shop items, collecting fees, and registering golfers. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Actively support the agency's risk management protocol that will effectively control and reduce accidents Promptly report all unsafe actions, practices, or conditions to the immediate supervisor Obey the practical safety rules, regulations, and procedures established by the Safety Committee, and attend and participate in required safety training. Perform other related duties as assigned, based on agency needs Answer telephone, record incoming calls, and take starting time reservations Register players and assign them their tee time, making sure all golfers check-in Collect all money for green fees, programs, rental, and pro shop sales. Issue receipts for all transactions Maintain general order and cleanliness in the pro shop Maintain daily records and reports Remain courteous with patrons at all times Perform all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the Park District safety program Convey information about the Wilmette Golf Course programs to the public Develop positive relationships with participants and patrons Attend staff meetings as scheduled Work collaboratively with other staff as needed Actively contribute to the Park District's sustainability goals Safety Responsibilities Actively support the safety program that will effectively control and reduce accidents Obey all Park District and departmental safety rules, regulations, and procedures established by the Wilmette Park District safety program Promptly report all unsafe actions, practices, or conditions to the immediate supervisor Attend and participate in required safety training Required Skills/Abilities (Technology, Mathematical, Language) Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Knowledge of golf terms, rules, and equipment required Golf experience preferred Understand the fundamentals of golf Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to take initiative and use good judgment in responding to situations that arise Ability to take direction and adapt to the work environment Education and/or Experience Must be 18 years of age or older Physical Requirements/Work Environment Must be able to sit or stand for long periods, stoop, bend, and kneel May spend time indoors, in a controlled environment, and outdoors in an uncontrolled environment Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Exposure to cleaning and disinfecting supplies Required Certificates/Licenses/Registrations None #J-18808-Ljbffr Wilmette Park District
