Job description PowerBIDeveloper—VMS/MSPReporting&Dashboards AreaofFocus: Technical—BusinessIntelligence&DataVisualization Location: Remote(US) EngagementType: Contract,$60/hour Reportstoteamsupporting: BITeam,NorthAmerica MainPurposeofRole We're looking for a Power BI Developer to build and maintain reporting and dashboards that turn VMS/MSP program data into clear, actionable metrics for internal and client-facing use. This role pulls data from a variety of sources — including VMS platforms, manual inputs, and existing systems — and works toward reducing manual effort through automation over time. You'll work collaboratively with the BI team and business stakeholders, translating reporting requests into reliable, well-structured Power BI solutions. KeyResponsibilities Design,build,andmaintainPowerBIdashboardsandreports,includingdatamodeling,DAX,andvisuallayerdevelopment. SupportVMSreportconfigurationanddataintegration(e.g.,Fieldglass,Beeline,VNDLY),includingvalidatingdatapulledviaAPIconnections. Pullandconsolidatemetricsfrommultiplesources—includingmanualcalculations—forrecurring(typicallymonthly)reporting. BuildandoptimizeSQLqueriesanddatastructurestosupportdashboardandreportingneeds. Identifyandimplementautomationopportunitiesforrecurringreportsandrefreshworkflowstoreducemanualeffort,workingtowardafullyautomatedsolution. TroubleshootPowerBI,DAX,PowerQuery,anddataissuesastheyarise. Partnerwithinternalstakeholders(and,asneeded,clients)togatherreportingrequirementsandwalkthroughcompleteddashboards. Applystaffing/MSPindustrycontext—SLA/KPImetrics,cost-savingsmethodology,ratebenchmarking—sooutputsarebusiness-relevant,notjusttechnicallycorrect. Documentbuildsandprocessesclearlyenoughforothersontheteamtomaintainorextendthework. SkillsRequired SolidworkingproficiencyinPowerBI:DAX,PowerQuery,datamodeling,anddashboard/reportdesign. SQLproficiencyforqueryingandvalidatingsourcedata. StrongExcelandMSOfficeskills,withcomfortdoingmetrics/numberscalculations. ExperiencewithatleastoneVMSplatform(Fieldglass,Beeline,orVNDLY)preferred,orwillingnesstorampupquickly. Familiaritywithdatawarehouseconceptsandworkingwithmultiple,disparatedatasources. Clearwrittenandverbalcommunication—abletoexplainreportinglogictonon-technicalstakeholders. Self-motivatedandcomfortableworkingwithinaproject-basedenvironmentwithmoderateautonomy. Nicetohave:exposuretoMicrosoftFabric,Azure,Databricks/Snowflake,AWS,orPythonforautomation/analysis. EducationalRequirements Bachelor'sdegreeinBusinessAnalytics,DataScience,ComputerScience,InformationSystems,Statistics,Mathematics,orequivalentpracticalexperience. Experience 5+yearsofexperienceinbusinessintelligence,reporting,ordataanalysisroles,withmeaningfulhands-onPowerBIdevelopmentexperience. ExperienceworkingwithorsupportinganMSPprogram,orexposuretoamajorVMSplatform(Fieldglass,Beeline,orVNDLY),preferred. Experienceinstaffing,recruitment,ortalentacquisitionenvironmentsisaplus,butnotrequired. Compensation Payrate:$60/hour,contract.Ratereflectsahands-onPowerBIDeveloperrolefocusedondashboardbuild/maintenanceandreportingautomation,ratherthananarchitecture-owningorteam-leadlevelposition.
