Metrology Equipment Technician

Position Summary This Metrology Equipment Technician will support sustaining a clean‑room environment while prioritizing equipment recovery and troubleshooting, performing Preventative Maintenance (PMs) and running routine weekly equipment qualifications. The role includes equipment recovery and root‑cause troubleshooting, creating and executing equipment improvement projects, and updating and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Collaboration with supervisors, equipment engineering, manufacturing teams, and tool vendors is necessary to prioritize work tasks and align with company objectives. The technician documents and details the steps taken to resolve equipment issues. Role and Responsibilities Work in the fab to support troubleshooting and maintenance activities with a mindset toward root‑cause analysis, standardization, and 6S. Willingness to work in a 24/7 high‑volume manufacturing environment. Ability to walk extended periods in the fab during equipment recoveries. Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM)/Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance following standard operating procedures. Conduct failure analysis and follow scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures. Monitor equipment and processes in current state and proactively look for improvement opportunities. Work well in a team environment and effectively communicate across the organization. Collaborate with Supervisor, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing, and tool vendors to prioritize work tasks and help achieve goals. Skills and Qualifications 2 years of college or technical school preferred. Any semiconductor equipment maintenance experience is a plus. Metrology experience is a plus. Attention to detail. Initiative and continuous improvement mindset. Basic computer skills and basic understanding of Microsoft Office/Excel/PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to use and operate basic hand tools. Pay & Benefits Base salary range: \$20.50 - \$46.00 per hour, with pay rates depending on duties, location, education, skills, qualifications, and experience.
