Civil Engineer IV

As a Civil Engineer IV, you will serve as a senior technical leader guiding complex civil engineering projects from conception through execution. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, act as a trusted technical subject matter expert, and build strong client relationships while translating complex needs into innovative, code-compliant solutions. You will also mentor others, strengthen team capabilities, and help identify opportunities that expand Progressive Companies' impact and business. Deliver Results Develop innovative civil engineering designs and specifications for complex, multidisciplinary projects that advance Performance Based Design principles, regenerative strategies, and code compliance. Establish advanced documentation standards and procedures in Revit and AutoCAD to promote consistency, accuracy, and alignment across engineering deliverables. Lead cross-disciplinary project teams, communicating complex technical information clearly to clients, project partners, and other stakeholders. Collaborate with Project Managers and Team Leads to develop and execute detailed plans for large-scale initiatives, coordinating complex scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical decisions. Advise clients, internal leaders, and government agencies as a civil engineering subject matter expert, applying current regulations, industry trends, and best practices to reduce risk and strengthen outcomes. Review complex technical documents and project deliverables for design accuracy, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, and lead field inspections to confirm construction aligns with design intent. Mentor team members, lead lessons-learned and professional-development activities, and provide technical guidance that expands team capability and supports major strategic project decisions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure. Typically 20+ years of post-graduation professional engineering experience and/or 15+ years of professionally licensed experience. Expert proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, along with proficiency using standard technology, software tools, and search engines.
