About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Obstetrics/Gynecology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:01 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years License: Valid RN license in Tennessee Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, NRP Must-Have Skills/Experience: ACLS BLS NRP Labor and Delivery experience Fetal monitoring Description: Candidates must be able to perform in Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and Post-Partum units. The facility is a critical access hospital with 25 beds. It provides access to various water activities such as fishing and boating. The position requires clinical staff to check against the Abuse Registry prior to the assignment start date. Every other weekend shift will be required as needed. Call requirements include 3 (12-hour shifts) per 4-week schedule. The unit has 2 labor beds and 3 postpartum beds. Patient ratios are 1:2. Electronic health records are maintained using Meditech. The patient population includes maternity women and newborns. A positive attitude, cooperation, and initiative are essential personality traits. Required education includes certification and licensure to work as an RN. Dress code includes scrubs of any color, and casual or other facility apparel is unacceptable. This position is a replacement for permanent staff.
