Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics!Job SummaryThe Production Supervisor II leads and directs a team of employees in an assigned area of operations such as Metal Fabrication, Assembly, and/or Test. The Production Supervisor II is accountable for maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to quality standards, and is responsible for meeting customer demand schedules within established cost goals. Supervision may include the management of employees on more than one shift.Essential FunctionsDrive continuous improvement by applying lean manufacturing tools and mentoring team members in their use; review daily KPIs to identify gaps and lead structured problem-solving efforts (8-Step, 5 Why, Fishbone).Provide inputs for resource planning, overtime forecasting, and productivity improvements to support monthly and annual budgeting processes.Partner with Value Stream Managers to deliver required reporting to senior leadership and ensure cross-functional alignment across product lines and functional areas.Ensure timely identification and processing of non-conforming materials to manage scrap, rework, and overall product quality.Oversee daily resource allocation to meet production schedules and customer requirements; make staffing decisions aligned with HR procedures to support business needs.Develop, coach, and mentor employees through performance planning to drive team capability and business growth.Minimum QualificationsExperience: 3+ years supervisory experience; 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related areaKnowledge: Deep understanding of cellular manufacturing practices; Comfortable teaching the use of manufacturing based continuous improvement skills (standard work, 5S, material replenishment, etc.); Intermediate skill level with MS Office softwareSkills/Abilities: Effectively communicate (written and verbal) with all levels of the business and present to groups both small and large; Ability to align customer demand with manufacturing capacity to develop labor planning/allocations; Ability to use data to determine root causes of issues to drive focused corrective actionEducation/Certification: High School diploma or equivalentEligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
