Automotive Body Shop Technician

Collision Technician PositionIf you are a quality-driven certified collision technician with high attention to detail, this is the position for you. As a result, we are looking for a professional with a reputation for quality work to join our body shop. Strong restorative and repair skills as well as the ability to achieve results are needed as well as the ability to perform with a team.Must be state certified. Prior body shop repair or training and I-CAR are preferred.A valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record is required. A basic list of duties is below:Position Summary: Collision Technicians are responsible for restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. This is done in accordance with the standard specification to quality of job and to ensure satisfaction of the Customer and the Company.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracyCommunicate with body shop office to obtain the needed partsExamine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is requiredPerform all body repairs according to estimatePerform welding, soldering, body alignment, and oxidizing operationsAssessing and analyzing the damaged areas to prep for paintingEstablish a finished product which adheres to factory and dealership procedures when performing warranty workMaintaining work area in a clean and orderly mannerOperate all equipment in Collision Center in a safe mannerDocuments all work performed as soon as the job is completedUses basic mathematical skills to solve simple equations for mixing chemicalsUnderstands and follows federal, state and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous wastesWhat we offer:Competitive compensation.Health, Dental, Vision Insurance.Company Paid Life Insurance.Company Savings Plan.401K with Employer Match.Vacation Pay.Compensation: $60,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
