The Opportunity We need skilled Construction Specialists who are local to the Eureka/Samoa area. This position will report to the Construction Manager and represents an opportunity to join an awesome team on the ground floor, learn a lot, and have a ton of fun as GRC grows! Responsibilities Construction specialist is responsible for general laborer duties and support on construction sites Use various equipment, hand, and power tools Prepare ground trenches for pipes and utility lines Remove, fill, or compact earth Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade and utility safety standards. Responsible for the site set-up and clean-up Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on the truck Will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting construction Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic May be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies, or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed Ability to follow instructions Required Qualifications A valid driver's license is required for this position. On-call and weekend availability Travel is Required Preferred Qualifications Construction: 1 year Class A CDL Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communications skills Understanding of basic utility construction processes and terminology a plus Additional Information Salary Range: $20 - $25 Hourly, based on experience Schedule: Day Shift: Monday - Friday & Night Shift: Sunday - Thursday Travel Requirements: 100% Role Openings: 2 Target Start Date: 2-3 weeks from offer Interview Process Final Interview Conditional offer upon successful background check Equal Opportunity Employer Glass Roots Construction (GRC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
