Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Department / Freestanding Emergency Room (FSED)

Location

Evans, Georgia

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required | 48 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 11-bed Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) with acuity-based patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6
• Perform IV insertion, Foley catheter insertion, NG tube insertion, and assist providers with common ED procedures
• Set up and adjust respiratory equipment including BiPAP and ventilator equipment, with phone support available from the main hospital
• Run point-of-care (POC) laboratory testing in collaboration with PCTs
• Utilize AIDET communication standards, narration of care, and SBAR for department, admission, transfer, and handoff communications
• Coordinate frequent admissions and transfers to the main hospital from the FSED

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Experience managing common ED chief complaints and trauma patients
• Proficiency with cardiac and vital sign monitoring equipment
• Positive, flexible, team-oriented, and patient-centered approach to care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech documentation system
• Familiarity with freestanding or satellite emergency department environments
• Experience operating BiPAP and ventilator equipment independently
