Details Work in the MRI department of a large acute care hospital (874 licensed beds) designated as a Level I Trauma Center, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center Teaching hospital environment serving a diverse adult and pediatric patient population from the ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient settings across the full spectrum of radiology exams Average of 40–45 patients per day 12‑hour night shifts, 36 hours per week No floating required On‑call is required and rotated fairly among full‑time, part‑time, PRN, and travel staff based on team size No rotation between weekday and weekend shifts — travelers remain on the assigned shift per contract Holiday coverage is expected unless time off is approved in advance RTO requires manager approval Uses Siemens 1.5T magnets and Epic EMR Requirements Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience, with most recent experience within the last year ARRT(R) or NMTCB, and ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT required Active BLS required State license required if applicable Epic EMR experience Ability to work confidently in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment with strong communication and teamwork skills Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Additional Information Perform MRI exams across a full spectrum of radiology diagnoses for adult and pediatric patients Department is supported by a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager, with a diverse team ranging from new grads to long‑tenured staff Orientation includes a facility and departmental tour with introductions; departmental orientation is approximately 5 days but flexible based on traveler needs Black scrubs required Free parking available on‑site across multiple parking decks First‑time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must be separated for at least 1 year before being considered American Traveler Job ID #P-707193.
