Print Production AssociateThe Print Production Associate operates the Center’s print center for both graphic design and production. He or she will work with customers to create, schedule, and produce their print products. The ideal candidate has one to two years of experience in a similar role or a two-year degree in graphic design or a related field, experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, knowledge of printing concepts, and production experience with digital printing and bindery equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.ResponsibilitiesCompletes tasks independently in a quick turn environmentUnderstands color management and applies file adjustmentsFollows and understands quality guidelinesInterprets a variety of instructions provided in written or verbal formBrainstorms and mocks up design ideasPresents concepts or ideas to clientsMeets with clients and adjusts designs to fit their needs or tasteReads and understands all job requirements before beginning desktop processEffectively manages production schedule and production materialsOperates and maintains print and finishing equipmentMaintains strong attention to detail when proofing all materialsPerforms other duties as assignedBinding, laminating, faxing, automatic cutting machines, wide format and multi functional copiersQualificationsOne to two years of experience or a two-year degree in graphic design or a related fieldStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites (2 years preferred)Production scheduling experience and MUST have minimum 2 years of experience with Print Production, Multi Function and Wide Format PrinterProject management skills with experience with EDDM and Direct MailingProduction experience with digital printing and bindery equipmentAble to work and complete tasks independently in a quick turn environmentKnowledge and application of printing conceptsGood concept of color management and able to apply file adjustmentsAble to follow and understand quality guidelinesAble to operate and maintain print and finishing equipmentGood communication and people skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and mathPrompt, reliable, and responsibleAble to lift 50+ pounds
