Registered Nurse - Trauma Cardiovascular Stroke Neuro

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00). Every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care for patients in the Trauma Cardiovascular Stroke Neuro unit. The role involves a high level of critical thinking and expertise in managing complex patient conditions. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills to deliver quality care and work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and care for critically ill patients, including those with trauma, cardiovascular, and neurological disorders.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Utilize advanced equipment such as ventilators and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience preferred; 2+ years considered with strong background.
• Active RN license.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
