About the Position

Job Title: Imaging Technologist Profession: Imaging Specialty: General Imaging Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 2 years required, 3 years preferred License: RT (R)(CT) Certifications: BLS Must-Have: IV starts, stroke and chest pain workups, trauma experience Description: The facility has 176 licensed beds. It has a Level II Trauma Designation. This facility is a Magnet facility. It is also recognized as a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center. The department averages 50-75 patients per day. First-time travelers are accepted if well qualified. Common patient types include emergency department, inpatient, outpatient, stroke, chest, procedural, and trauma. Required skills include IV starts and relevant patient workups. There is hospitalist support available 24/7. An intensivist team is also available around the clock. A trauma team operates 24/7. The EMR system used is EPIC. Department-specific equipment includes GE CT scanners. There is no floating required for this position. Scheduling includes weekend rotation every fourth weekend. On-call duties are expected with an 8-week rotation, to be discussed in the interview. Holiday expectations will depend on unit needs. RTO requests must be approved by management. Shift times are from 10:00 to 18:30. The schedule operates on an 8-week cycle. Scrub color is Caribbean blue.
