A fulfilling opportunity awaits a dedicated School Psychologist eager to inspire secondary-level students for the 2026/2027 academic year. As an essential part of a school community, you will help empower learners by supporting their emotional, academic, and behavioral development. This full-time, onsite contract role is perfect for someone passionate about advocacy and intervention at the secondary school level.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Michigan School Psychologist certification required
- Demonstrated experience working directly with secondary-age students in an educational setting
- Ability to conduct assessments, interpret data, and collaborate effectively with educators and families
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality in student matters
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students at the secondary level
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to address student needs and implement interventions
- Offer direct and indirect counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support
- Contribute expertise to IEP/504 teams, providing recommendations for supports and services
- Participate in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and data-driven decision-making processes
- Advocate for student well-being and inclusive practices within the school community
