Automation Technician

Automation Technician position at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility focused on designing, installing, and maintaining critical computer systems and equipment for drug production. The role requires troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and collaboration across departments to ensure operational continuity and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, validate, and calibrate manufacturing computer information systems
• Integrate equipment control and operational data into large systems for batch production and testing
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on plant systems and develop maintenance procedures
• Troubleshoot instruments and electrical devices; support continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in project construction, commissioning, and equipment factory acceptance testing

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing automation or instrumentation
• Proficiency with computer software applications
• Strong troubleshooting skills for process and equipment problems
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Familiarity with safety protocols and effective communication skills

Compensation: $28.76–$47.93 per hour
