The Ramp Supervisor will also drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles. This position will require heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stretching.What You Will Be DoingSupervise lead agents; allocating ramp agent resources as neededMove cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals, air cargo facilities, and other aircraftEnsure that ramp personnel adhere to established company safety regulationsPerform as a mentor to other employees and provide training to new employeesSome responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems as needed for violations of company policyComplete shift reports and sign timecardsAssist in the preparation of performance evaluation formsPrepare disciplinary incident and or termination reportsAssist in the baggage handling areaConduct shift briefings to ensure staff is organized and informedRead and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tagsOperate motorized equipmentSafety, Security, Wellbeing and ComplianceYou will have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
