Maintenance Mechanic

Job TitlePlans for and executes the installation, maintenance, and modification of all site HVAC and mechanical systems.Job DescriptionSalary Range: $32.00 to $35.00 Per Hour, dependent upon education and experience. Maintains a safety-first mindset for all tasks performed. May direct assigned work crew in a safe and efficient manner. Responsible for repairs, troubleshooting, calibration, and preventative maintenance of associated systems and equipment to include all HVAC and mechanical equipment. Responsible for maintaining tools and equipment in good operating condition and maintaining up to date equipment maintenance records.Responsibilities1. Repairs, maintains, and troubleshoots HVAC and mechanical system equipment used in the manufacturing process.2. Checks, and inspects HVAC mechanical equipment periodically to determine the need to repair or conduct preventative maintenance.3. Carries out preventive maintenance on HVAC and mechanical equipment and/or systems as required by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).4. Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and minimize downtime.5. Cleans and organizes workplace to ensure both operating and safety conditions.6. Documents all work performed; complies with acceptable current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) standards.7. Uses critical thinking skills to determine possible causes of equipment failures.8. Responsible for developing and implementing improvements for efficiency, safety, and preventative maintenance. Assists engineers, and supervision with capital improvement projects, including acquisition, installation, startup and commissioning, rebuilding and upgrading of HVAC and mechanical systems.9. Performs additional facility maintenance duties as directed, including but not limited to framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing, concrete, painting, landscaping, snow removal, etc.10. Must possess a safety-first culture and safely operate machinery and equipment to perform essential duties. These may include ladders, man-lifts, forklifts, skid steers, power tools, welders, grinders, etc.11. Preplans work to mitigate roadblocks and plans safety into every task.12. Mentors and coaches co-workers on performing tasks related to HVAC and mechanical systems.All employees are responsible for ensuring compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities.RequirementsThe Company's primary business language is English. The successful candidate must be able to effectively speak, read, write, and understand English to perform the essential functions of the position, including independently understanding policies, procedures, training materials, and workplace communications written in English due to our heavily regulated work environment.Must have a high school education and be able to read, write and perform mathematics at a level to be able to complete technical work.
