Ultrasound TechnologistThe Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing ultrasound procedures on patients of every age utilizing approved techniques and producing quality scans for physician interpretation.Responsibilities:Reviews medical record for patient history and clinical data for correlation with sonogramPositions patient, explains procedure, and provides patient educationPerforms ultrasound procedures on patients of every age utilizing approved protocol Displays knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathology, and/or physiological data to obtain optimal studiesAssumes care for physical and psychological needs of patients during procedureSelects technical factors and imaging modeEvaluates sonogram for technical quality and prepares for physician interpretationQualifications:Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography ProgramCurrent ARRT certification and/or Medical Sonography with registry eligibilityRDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) preferred.SKILLS: Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and produce quality images. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and employees within the organization.Ultrasound experience preferred*Eligible for $2,500 retention bonus!*
