X-ray Technician / X-ray Technologist (Radiologic Technologist)

Immediate need for a talented X-ray Technician / X-ray Technologist (Radiologic Technologist). This is a 06 weeks contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Atlanta, GA (Onsite).

Pay Range: $47 - $52/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts (Monday–Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm) – 40 hours expected per week
• Perform radiographic examinations on patients of all ages (including peds and neonates) in ED, inpatient, portable, and OR settings.
• Operate radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment (GE, Phillips, CareStream) following established protocols.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and repeat as needed; ensure accurate positioning and exposure.
• Assist in the OR with fluoroscopic guidance and portable imaging as requested.
• Float to other departments as needed based on daily assignments.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR and Sectra PACS.
• Participate in student training and perform competency check-offs for students rotating through the facility.
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and ALARA principles.
• Respond to trauma activations with speed and accuracy.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Must have skills: X-ray Technologist, Radiologic Technologist, ARRT, BLS, Level 1 Trauma, EPIC, ED, Inpatient, Portables, OR
• Graduate from a JRCERT/ARRT approved radiologic technology program
• Active ARRT certification (required)
• AHA BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience OR 2-3 years at a large bed trauma Level 2 facility
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR and Sectra PACS
• Experience with GE, Phillips, and CareStream equipment
• Comfortable working with pediatric and neonatal patients (must be willing to learn)
• Ability to work 8-hour day shifts (Monday–Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm), 40 hours guaranteed per week
• Must complete mask fit test (required)
• Both local and travel candidates considered – local candidates eligible to apply
• Experience performing student competency check offs (preferred)
• Proficiency in ED, inpatient, portable, and OR radiography
• Strong understanding of fluoroscopic procedures and image evaluation
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced Level 1 trauma environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork with radiologists, ED staff, and surgeons
• Willingness to teach and mentor students
• Commitment to patient safety and radiation protection
