Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Access Control in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Officer at a government location, you will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and provide professional customer service to visitors and personnel. You will help maintain a controlled environment through clear communication, attention to detail, and a visible presence that helps deter security-related incidents. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 02:00 PMTue06:00 AM - 02:00 PMWed06:00 AM - 02:00 PMThur06:00 AM - 02:00 PMFri06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and officials by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Monitor access points, verify authorized entry credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests in accordance with established procedures. Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as required. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Minimum Requirements Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Possess an Armed Guard Card/License. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
