Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Responsibilities Use the nursing process to deliver patient care. Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team. Utilize data and information to evaluate and promote changes toward optimal outcomes. Embrace customer satisfaction and employee morale while advancing nursing practice. Adapt communication and care approach to diverse patient populations, respecting privacy and obtaining permissions. Perform additional related duties as required. Maintain knowledge of current federal, state, local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements; ensure compliance. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required); Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred). Work Experience: None required. Certifications: Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice (required). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required). Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within 30 days of hire (required). Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire (required). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of hire (required). Certification in clinical specialty area (preferred). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process. Good organizational and time management skills; ability to be self-directed. Demonstrated good judgement. Strong interpersonal skills. Physical & Environmental Demands Exponential physical demands: occasional lifting of 50‑100 pounds, frequent lifting of 25‑50 pounds, constant lifting of 10‑20 pounds; may involve walking, standing, pushing, pulling. Heavy work requires ability to exert significant force; light work requires sitting or standing. Exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, infectious and hazardous chemicals.
