Plumbing Installer

Plumbing Install LeadD&D Plumbing is seeking an experienced Plumbing Install Lead to run residential installation jobs from start to finish. This is a hands-on lead role — you'll perform the work, direct a helper or apprentice, and own the quality and completion of every job you're assigned. You are the face of the company on site and the last set of eyes before we call a job done.ResponsibilitiesLead residential plumbing installations including water heaters, tankless units, water softeners, repipes, sewer and drain line replacements, gas lines, and fixture installsDirect and mentor an assigned helper or apprentice on the job site, including task assignment and on-the-job trainingRead and interpret job scopes, work orders, and basic plans; verify scope against site conditions before starting workPerform installations in compliance with all applicable state and local plumbing codes and permit requirementsCoordinate with the office and Field Operations Manager on scheduling, material needs, change orders, and job statusCommunicate professionally with homeowners — explain the work, set expectations on timeline and disruption, and walk the customer through the completed installationComplete all required documentation, photos, and job close-out paperwork in the field before leaving the siteMaintain assigned company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean, organized, and working conditionIdentify and communicate additional service or repair opportunities observed on siteUphold all safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE and job site protection of customer propertyRequirementsQualificationsMinimum 3–5 years of residential plumbing installation experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or crew lead capacityValid state plumbing license or registration as required by state and local jurisdictionProven ability to complete installations independently and to code, with minimal reworkWorking knowledge of water heater, tankless, repipe, and drain line installation methods and materialsAbility to read work orders, scopes, and basic plansStrong customer-facing communication skills and professional appearanceComfortable using a smartphone or tablet for job documentation and photosValid driver's license and an insurable driving recordAbility to lift 50+ lbs, work in crawl spaces and attics, and perform physical labor in varying weather conditionsMust pass pre-employment background check and drug screenMust be 18 years of age or older to applyWhy Join UsD&D Plumbing is part of Blue Cardinal Home Services Group, a growing multi-brand home services organization.
