Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Spokane, WA

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050–$2,160
• Location: Spokane, Washington
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• End Date: March 1, 2027
• Schedule: Approximately 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts; day shifts are approximately 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and night shifts are approximately 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Weekend Coverage: Required, typically every other weekend
• Call: Not required
• Department Profile: High-acuity Emergency Department with approximately 175 visits per day and a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio

Emergency Department RN Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at submission when applicable
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• Experience caring for trauma, cardiac, and stroke patients in a high-acuity emergency care setting
• Strong emergency assessment, triage, and patient prioritization skills
• Competency with continuous IV sedation, intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid patient stabilization
• Epic electronic health record charting experience preferred
• Level I trauma experience preferred
• Ability to support ED holding and adapt to changing emergency patient-care needs

Travel Emergency Room RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, and compassionate emergency nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, ongoing reassessments, and prioritization of care for approximately 175 daily Emergency Department visits
• Manage patients presenting with complex trauma, cardiac, stroke, and other high-acuity conditions
• Support STEMI patients through transition to the cardiac catheterization laboratory
• Coordinate stroke patient care through interventional radiology and trauma patient care through definitive treatment, including the operating room or intensive care unit
• Recognize and manage dysrhythmias, administer continuous IV sedation as indicated, and monitor patients requiring advanced neurologic care
• Use emergency equipment, including rapid infusers, defibrillators, and cardiac monitors
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, laboratory, social services, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Provide flexible coverage in ED holding and maintain accurate electronic documentation
