DPS is now hiring a Nurse Practitioner for an Urgent Care Facility in Katy, TX Dean’s Professional Services has partnered with healthcare facilities, government organizations, and corporations to provide job opportunities.

Nurse Practitioner Job Details:
Location: Katy, TX
Schedule: 7:45am - 9:00pm (Days vary, may include weekends)
Starting Pay Rate: $55.00 hour (based on experience)

Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive medical evaluations, including history and physical examinations, for patients with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of urgent care conditions in accordance with evidence-based practice and clinical protocols.
• Demonstrate proficiency in suturing and wound closure techniques, including management of lacerations and minor procedures.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory studies, imaging, and point-of-care testing.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
• Adhere to all clinical, safety, regulatory, and infection control standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support a positive patient care environment.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the applicable state.
• Current DEA registration required.
• DOT Certification preferred

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in urgent care or emergency medicine required.
• Documented competency in suturing and wound closure techniques required.
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and procedural skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
