Day to day as aN Assistant House Manager As an Assistant Home Manager, you will embark on an exciting journey each day, dedicated to supporting young men with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential group home setting. Your role involves working side‑by‑side with staff to provide hands‑on support and oversee daily routines while prioritizing the safety and well‑being of everyone in the home. With the potential for challenging behaviors from some individuals, your ability to remain calm and consistent is crucial. You’ll actively help de‑escalate situations and follow behavior support plans, showcasing your leadership by modeling appropriate responses for your team. Balancing direct care, staff supervision, documentation, and problem‑solving, you will play a vital part in maintaining a structured environment.
