Production Supervisor

Position Summary The production supervisor is responsible for supervising production associates, production assistants, and production coordinators. They develop team members, coach, motivate, and train associates to high performance levels, enabling independent and efficient work. The role ensures safety, housekeeping, production, and quality goals are met, fostering a safe, quality-driven work culture. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Supervise production associates, develop team members, coach, motivate, and train associates to high performance levels in a manufacturing environment. Assist Production Manager in reviewing shift operations and make recommendations relative to changes in operations, staffing, equipment, and procedures. Recruit, train personnel, maintain good housekeeping, and follow safety and quality standards. Maintain a safety-first culture and implement, lead, and enforce safety and company policies and procedures. Lead Lean processes and continuous improvement initiatives. Troubleshoot and resolve production line issues that occur on shift and perform frequent quality checks. Maintain a supportive and productive work atmosphere through professional conduct and effective communication with internal and external customers, including vendors, coworkers, subordinates, and other supervisors. Review accurate time records for team members on shift. Attend all production related meetings, safety meetings, and conduct pre‑shift meetings. Complete incident reports, including near‑miss reports, in a timely manner. Cross‑train in other functional areas to support the manufacturing facility for special projects and assignments. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent, may include specialized or vocational courses. Three to five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Microsoft Office computer skills and experience with SAP.
