Heavy Industrial Manufacturing – Forge Associate

Openings in Rochelle, IL
Pay: $21.50/hour
Shift: Morning/Day Shift 5am-3:30pm
Schedule:   Monday–Thursday, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
Overtime:   Friday is available for overtime when needed

Type: Evaluation Hire / Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview

Our client is growing their team and is looking for dependable individuals to join their  heavy industrial manufacturing operation . This is a physically demanding position involving industrial parts, quality inspection, equipment operation, and shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts for quality, defects, and proper specifications
• Grind and deburr industrial parts
• Clean and package finished parts
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift
• Receive incoming parts and inspect materials
• Operate a scale and press
• Use measurement tools to verify part specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and production requirements

Requirements

• Previous  grinding/deburring experience
• Previous  forklift experience
• Ability to use measurement tools
• Ability to operate a scale and press
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand continuously throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
• Steel-toe work boots required
