• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 6 months
• Pay Rate: $61.29–$94.49 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: 9 AM – 5 PM EST, Monday–Friday
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Juniper Switching to Arista Switch migration engagement. The engineer will work in a lab environment during equipment staging. During implementation, the engineer must be at the installation site to deal with any issues that arise. The engineer will not be permitted to rack or cable the equipment but will be expected to work with installers to ensure that everything is correct. The customer requires the deployment to be managed through Arista Cloud (no API deployment).

Key Responsibilities

• Work in a lab environment during equipment staging
• Be present at the installation site during implementation to deal with any issues that arise
• Work with installers to ensure that all equipment racking and cabling is correct (engineer will not personally rack or cable equipment)
• Read Juniper port configurations and translate that into actions needed to configure ports in the Arista GUI
• Work well with others and provide instructions as needed

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Arista switch configuration and the Arista GUI
• Ability to read Juniper port configurations and translate them into Arista configuration actions
• Experience with Juniper-to-Arista switch migrations
• Familiarity with Arista Cloud management (no API deployment)
• Ability to work collaboratively with installation teams and provide clear instructions

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Work performed in a lab environment during staging phase
• On-site presence required at the installation location during implementation — this is an onsite-only position
• Engineer will not rack or cable equipment but must be physically present to oversee and guide installation teams

• This position is confirmed onsite only — remote work is not permitted under any circumstances
• Deployment must be managed through Arista Cloud; API deployment is not used
