Ordinance Officer Full Time with benefits, 37.5 hours/week

Ordinance Officer (Full Time) - 37.5 hours/week Job Responsibilities Maintain standard records and thorough documentation. Review and enforce municipal codes and ordinances. Assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned. Communicate with others to exchange information. Operate motor vehicles as required. Move from one work site to another to accomplish tasks. Perform primarily sedentary work involving sitting or standing for prolonged periods. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Good public relations and ability to maintain good communication skills both orally and written. Ability to understand criminal and civil law, court procedures, municipal ordinances, codes, and specifications. Valid Michigan driver’s license. Experience maintaining standard records and thorough documentation. Minimum of one year of experience relating to the review and enforcement of codes and ordinances or equivalent. Experience with computers and BS&A software. Special Requirements Occasional work in low and high temperatures. Exposure to noisy conditions and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. Classification : 29A. Pay rate $25.117; after 3 years $29.588.
