**PLEASE NOTE: This position will require traveling to an alternate Planet Fitness location for each training shift over the next several weeks until the new club opens.

We are searching for a Fitness Trainer (Certified Training Certificate REQUIRED) to join our team! As a member of our team, you will be responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (View email address on ziprecruiter.com). This includes assisting new members in the achievement of their fitness goals by designing a simple workout program and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Run View email address on ziprecruiter.com programs for participants (3-8 people per session) and creating schedules for members.
• Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to properly and safely use the equipment.
• Create bi-weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.

Customer Service/Front Desk Activities:

• Greet members and guests, providing exceptional customer service and do your best to make members feel comfortable and welcomed!
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
• Check members in, tour and sign up new members, log amenities and communicate updates and events to members and guests.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct beverage or merchandise purchases on the point of sale system.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
• Utilize POS system to assist with new membership cards, change of address and billing or payment questions.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance

• Go above and beyond to keep the facility clean and orderly.
• Regular facility cleaning and upkeep such as mopping up spills under equipment, trash removal, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
• Regular cleaning of all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
• Regular restroom and wet area cleaning and stocking.

Qualifications/Requirements

• A passion for fitness and health!
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• 6-12 months of Customer Service experience is preferred.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Nationally Certified Training Certificate required.
• Ability to pass background screening required.
• Basic computer proficiency with an eye for accuracy.
• Punctuality and reliability is a must.
• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member's expectations.
• Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.

Physical Demands

• Continual standing and walking during shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
• Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
