The pay for this position is $20.02-$23.36/hour . Additionally, employees receive a $2.50 shift differential for hours worked Friday evening through Monday morning.

+ Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required, Associates degree or Bachelors Degree in related field, preferred.
• Must have valid drivers license and cleaning driving record. Must be able to use personal vehicle in the execution of job duties and provide required insurance documentation of personal vehicle.
• Must have at least 1 year supervisory experience.
  
• Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a direct support position, providing care for children or adults with developmental disabilities.
• Any certifications necessary for the job will be paid for and coordinated through Benedictine

+ Key Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate staff supervision in all areas.
• With the Residential Coordinator's input, assign staff to students.
• Schedule staff breaks at appropriate times during shift.
• Coordinate coverage for open shifts.
• Oversee training of all new staff assigned to area.
• Teach and assist residents with activities of daily living such as purchasing, care of clothing, snack preparation, laundry, hygiene, behaviorand social skill-building.
• Assist with the implementation of prescribed behavior intervention plans as designated for each student.
• Plan for and participate in recreation/leisure activities with the students, including having supplies ready and available and ensuring that staff members correctly implement programming. Chaperone group-sponsored trips and social functions.
• Ensure visual aids, schedules, communication books, and communication devices are available at all times for students.
• Ensure accurate documentation and completion of daily logs, BTF's, monthly recreational forms, and other required forms/logs.
• If required by Residential Coordinator, provide weekly telephone or other communication with parents.
• Complete monthly calendars and newsletters.
• Assist with new admissions to assigned areas.
• Ensure the policies and procedures of Benedictine are consistently maintained and followed by staff. Work with ResidentialCoordinator when disciplinary actions are required.
• Ensure dorm cleanliness and organization. Ensure a high standard of housekeeping. Organize cleaning and distribution of laundry.
• Complete monthly inventory of each student's belongings.

• Full time
  • Sunday - Thursday; 1:00p - 9:00p
  • Tuesday - Saturday; 1:00p - 9:00p

Overtime expectations

• Overtime is not required but is regularly available and much appreciated. Any employee can request extra hours, regardless of seniority

• Ridgely Campus and/or Group Home Setting.
  

Travel requirements

• Provide transportation utilizing Benedictine fleet vehicles.

On-call responsibilities

• Not required for this position.
