Position Overview Serves as the primary relationship manager for high‑net‑worth (HNW) and ultra‑high‑net‑worth (UHNW) clients, delivering a comprehensive wealth management experience that integrates banking solutions, investment strategies, and holistic financial planning. This role combines credit and lending proficiency with investment and planning expertise, ensuring clients receive seamless, end‑to‑end financial advice. The manager coordinates multi‑disciplinary teams to craft and execute creative solutions, proactively identifies and executes growth opportunities within existing client relationships, and drives increased wallet share through strategic cross‑selling and relationship deepening initiatives. Drives complex acquisition strategies for “One Client” delivery through partnerships with Retail, Commercial and Capital Markets. Develops and executes the business development strategy, sales targets and the sales results for the assigned region. Builds and nurtures internal and external networks and referral sources to grow business in the assigned portfolio and jurisdiction. Enhances presence in the marketplace by collaborating with other experts (e.g., attorneys, accountants) to create integrated business development plans. Acts as the primary Relationship Manager for assigned client relationships, leading or assisting with the creation of business proposals or presentations such as relationship plans, financial plans and reviews. Leads the Annual Client Review with team members to evaluate changing needs, increase communication with client, and implement the client experience. Produces client reports that demonstrate the value provided and assesses clients at‑risk for retention. Ensures timely execution of transactions and requests. Provides recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in‑depth understanding of the business and group. Serves as a subject‑matter expert on relevant regulations and policies, and shares wealth solutions expertise and product knowledge across the regional team. Manages resources and leads the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals. Breaks down strategic problems, analyzes data and information to provide insights and recommendations. Monitors and tracks performance, addressing any issues that arise. Designs and produces regular and ad‑hoc reports and dashboards. Builds change‑management plans of varying scope and type; leads or participates in a variety of change‑management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives. Leads the execution of operational programs and adapts as needed to ensure quality of execution. Provides advanced understanding of industry trends and regulatory requirements, applying insights to deliver innovative client solutions and mentor junior team members. Oversees the design, development and implementation of tools and training required to deliver business results. Acts as the central point of contact for clients, coordinating all aspects of their financial needs, building deep, trusted relationships and delivering personalized advice aligned with clients’ goals. Provides tailored banking solutions that include credit facilities, mortgages and liquidity strategies. Designs and implements investment portfolios and wealth planning strategies (e.g., retirement, estate, tax optimization). Collaborates with internal specialists for tax, trust and insurance solutions to deliver holistic advice. Ensures adherence to regulatory, legal and ethical requirements; maintains rigorous risk‑management practices across all client solutions. Conducts regular reviews to assess progress toward financial objectives. Applies the bank’s Risk Management Framework in the execution of the role, making sound, risk‑informed decisions that align with business strategy, protect assets and adhere to applicable policies and laws. Serves as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders, applying expertise and creative thinking to address unique or ambiguous situations and find solutions to complex, non‑routine problems. Implements changes in response to shifting trends and broader work or accountabilities as assigned. Qualifications Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post‑secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA certification preferred. Certified Financial Planner preferred. Experience dealing with HNW clients and equivalent knowledge base. Broad knowledge of all facets of wealth management. In‑depth/expert knowledge of bank products, services and capabilities. Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge. Advanced proficiency in strategic relationship management, networking, business development, commercial acumen (applying business and financial principles to create value for both client and firm), financial planning, client service, collaboration, customer service and problem solving. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $102,000.00 – $190,000.00 (salaried with potential commission and incentive structure).
