About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required; CPI, PALS, TNCC preferred Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Department - EPIC experience required - Previous Charge RN and Level 2 Trauma experience preferred Description: The position requires working three 12-hour night shifts each week. There are two weekend shifts or four weekend days required every six weeks. Holidays may be required as needed. This role does not involve on-call responsibilities. Candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in the Emergency Department are encouraged to apply. First-time travelers are accepted. Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIH is mandatory. CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications are preferred. The role also requires proficiency in the EPIC electronic medical record system. Ideal candidates will possess prior Charge RN and Level 2 Trauma experience. Qualified applicants should be familiar with arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, and blood product administration. Experience with care of ventilated patients and central line management is essential. Skills in procedural sedation administration and monitoring are also important. Candidates will be expected to handle a range of conditions, including strokes, cardiac cases, and level 2 trauma cases. The unit provides interdisciplinary support from various teams, including respiratory services and social services. Focus is on adult patient care, although pediatrics are separated in a different area. Daily patient volume can reach approximately 180 visits. The unit is equipped with 63 beds to accommodate patient needs.
