About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as part of a Float Pool, rotating across Progressive Care, Medical Surgical Units, and an admission holding area
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in a fast-paced stepdown/IMC environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient transitions across units
• Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS as required by unit protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities

Required Qualifications

• Active, in-hand Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant IMC/PCU/Stepdown or related nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must reside more than 110 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records system
• Strong adaptability and comfort floating across multiple unit types
• Experience in high-acuity progressive care or stepdown settings
