Qualifications Associate’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience or 3 years of Critical Care or Emergency Room experience. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. Must complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership. Licenses & Certifications Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Registered Nurse (RN). Additional Qualifications RNs hired prior to 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fishermen’s) are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non‑leadership role as an RN. RNs hired after those dates with an Associate’s degree must complete a BSN within 3 years from hire. As per department standard, any of the following may be required: ACLS, BLS, or PALS. Minimum Required Experience Applicants must have 2 years of PACU experience or 3 years in Critical Care or Emergency Room.
