Position Overview:

As a Med-Surg Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions. You will assess patient needs, create individualized care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' health status, vital signs, and medical histories.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate personalized nursing care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Offer emotional support and education to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
• Clinical experience in a medical-surgical setting preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
