Radiology IV Access Registered Nurse

Location: New Jersey

Assignment Duration: This is a temporary staffing position.

Schedule: Day shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Job Description: The Radiology IV Access Registered Nurse is responsible for organizing and administering individualized, age-specific nursing care across Radiology and Imaging Services, with a primary focus on IV Access.

Responsibilities

• Insert and manage IVs, midlines, and PICCs per competency.
• Monitor for complications and respond appropriately.
• Maintain sterile technique and TIME OUT compliance.
• Ensure emergency equipment readiness.
• Review post-PICC chest x-rays per policy.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures.
• Oversee daily IV Access workflow and prioritization.
• Validate appropriateness of line selection.
• Ensure accurate EMR documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Active NJ RN license or compact license required at time of submission.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required.
