Paver Barrier Wall Operator

Paver Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the concrete paver and curb/barrier machine. Responsibilities: Operate the paver and other heavy equipment in a safe manner Maintain and clean the machine every day Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment Operate the Paver controls the screed auger, control the hopper, and navigate the direction of the paver Line paver appropriately to the work area, and ensure proper application of the concrete to the desired height, width, and depth Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Paver. Work harmoniously, cooperatively, and courteously with others at all times. Follow directions and instructions from supervisors. Work in a variety of weather conditions, including temperatures ranging from over 85 degrees to below 40 degrees. Perform all other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Valid Driver's License Knowledge of road construction materials and processes Requirements: Ability to use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects. Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks. Ability to perform frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted. Must be able to see and hear well (naturally or with correction). Ability to travel and work overtime, as requested.
