About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Executive Recruiter who is best in class with a high IQ plus a high EQ. This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing team, with abundant prospects for career advancement.

As Sezzle's Executive Recruiter, you will be responsible for leading senior-level talent acquisition across the organization, with a sharp focus on the Banking, FinTech, and Technology sectors. You will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, driving full-cycle executive searches for C-suite roles and board of directors appointments. This fully remote position requires a seasoned recruitment professional who excels at identifying, engaging, and placing top-tier executive and board-level talent across Latin American and global markets.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage full-cycle executive searches for C-suite roles (CEO, CFO, CTO, COO, CRO, CISO, and similar) and board of directors appointments.
  • Develop and execute customized search strategies for each engagement, leveraging research, market intelligence, and a robust professional network.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, board committees, and hiring managers on market trends, compensation benchmarking, organizational design, and succession planning.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of high-caliber executive and board-level candidates within the Banking, FinTech, and Technology ecosystems.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with passive candidates and industry leaders across Latin America and global markets.
  • Conduct rigorous candidate evaluations, including competency-based interviews, leadership assessments, and reference checks.
  • Present comprehensive candidate profiles and recommendations to stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscapes, regulatory shifts, and talent movements within Banking, FinTech, and Technology to inform search strategies.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities adhere to internal policies, local labor regulations, and best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting within applicant tracking and CRM systems.

What We Look For:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in executive recruitment, with a strong track record of placing C-suite executives and board members.
  • Demonstrated expertise recruiting within the Banking, FinTech, and/or Technology industries. Proven success managing board-level search engagements, including governance-focused roles and independent director appointments.
  • Deep understanding of executive compensation structures, equity packages, and incentive frameworks. Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence senior executives and board-level stakeholders.
  • Strong research and sourcing capabilities, including proficiency with executive search tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, and market mapping methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Based in Bogotá, Colombia with the ability to work remotely and collaborate across multiple time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at a retained executive search firm or in-house executive talent acquisition function at a major financial institution or technology company.
  • Existing network of senior leaders and board professionals across Latin America, North America, and global markets.
  • Familiarity with corporate governance frameworks and board composition best practices. Experience supporting diversity-focused executive and board searches.
  • Additional language proficiency (e.g., Portuguese) is a plus.

About You:

  • You have relentlessly high standards - many people may think your standards are unreasonably high. You are continually raising the bar and driving those around you to deliver great results. You make sure that defects do not get sent down the line and that problems are fixed so they stay fixed.
  • You’re not bound by convention - your success—and much of the fun—lies in developing new ways to do things
  • You need action - speed matters in business. Many decisions and actions are reversible and do not need extensive study. We value calculated risk-taking.
  • You earn trust - you listen attentively, speak candidly, and treat others respectfully.
  • You have backbone; disagree, then commit - you can respectfully challenge decisions when you disagree, even when doing so is uncomfortable or exhausting. You have conviction and are tenacious. You do not compromise for the sake of social cohesion. Once a decision is determined, you commit wholly.
  • You deliver results - you focus on the key inputs and deliver them with the right quality and in a timely fashion. Despite setbacks, you rise to the occasion and never settle.
