Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students within a dedicated self-contained program for the 2026/2027 school year. Two paraprofessional roles are available as backfills, beginning August 24th and continuing through June 3rd. Make a meaningful difference every day by assisting students with significant needs, including Autism, complex medical conditions, toileting support, and emerging behavioral challenges. Your compassion, patience, and commitment will play a vital part in fostering each student’s educational and personal growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or teacher’s aide, particularly in special education settings
• Comfort working with students who have significant learning, behavioral, or medical needs
• Ability to provide individualized attention and implement support plans as directed by lead educators and specialists
• Willingness to assist with personal care needs, including toileting and adaptive equipment
• Strong communication skills and a team-centered approach
• Reliability for a steady, full school day (7.25-hour shift with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
• Commitment to the full academic year assignment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support students’ daily routines, instructional activities, and therapeutic interventions
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, and mobility as needed
• Implement behavior intervention strategies under guidance
• Document progress and collaborate closely with teachers and specialists
• Foster a safe, engaged, and nurturing classroom environment
