Job Description Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) – support plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and medical issues under the Center Physician. About the role Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing and review of serological results. Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results. Notify donors of unsuitable test results. Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and coordinate emergency transport. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health/ER. Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS. Qualifications High school diploma or recognized nursing program with state requirements. Licensed or certified in the state: RN, NP or PA. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Complete FDA‑approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training. At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
