The Sales Manager performs a wide variety functions at the direction of the General Manager, assisting and coordinating store activities to ensure safe, professional and profitable operations. The Sales Manager is accountable for meeting company objectives; maintain company quality standards and adhering to company policies.Principal Accountability:Acquire and maintain customersAttend to customer concerns immediatelyCompliance with all applicable federal, state and local statuses.Decipher, prepare and review store reportsEnsure adequate availability of merchandise at all times.Fill out paperwork for submission to corporate supportFollow monthly marketing plans and maintain internal quality control standardsImplement sales and marketing programsMaintain detailed records of financial services transactionManaging inventory and cash assetsMake sure all merchandise is pricedPrepare daily work schedules, delivery schedules, assign tasks, enforce company policyAll other duties deemed necessary for effective by store managementQualificationsRequirements for Sales Manager:Effective organizational skillsEstablished selling skillsGood communications skillsHandle multiple priorities simultaneouslyLearn and become proficient in POS systemMaintain professional appearanceMust be able to read, write and communicate effectively in person and over the phone with the employees and customersNegotiate and resolve conflictPlan, organize, delegate, coordinate and follow up various tasks and assignmentsRecognize and solve problemsMust have proficient navigational skills with a satisfactory driving record and meet insurability requirementsRegular and consistent attendance, including nights and weekends as business dictatesEducation and Experience:Two years' experience with Rent-to-Own, retail or other business emphasizing customer service, account management, sales and merchandisingGeneral Physical Requirements:Position routinely requires lifting, loading, moving, and using a dolly for merchandise 50-300lbsStooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching, and grabbing as requiredMust be able to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliances, and electronicsProlonged driving and standingMust be able to work in and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions
