About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in financial and administrative management to join its leadership team. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio that includes financial planning and analysis, budgeting, accounting, procurement, facilities management, capital planning, risk management, and internal audit. This role demands a leader with a strategic vision to enhance the company's financial stability, operating efficiency, and resource management. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with auxiliary organizations, ensuring effective governance and stewardship of resources. A key aspect of the position is the ability to lead teams, manage change, and influence across a large, decentralized organization. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have at least 5-7 years' of senior-level leadership experience in a complex organizational setting, a master's degree, and a proven track record in capital planning, facilities management, and infrastructure development. Experience in higher education, particularly within public university systems, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a background in shared governance and experience working with auxiliary organizations and affiliated entities. Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, CMA, or related credentials are preferred. The CFO will be a key member of the leadership team, interacting with counterparts in the Office of the Chancellor, and must be prepared to meet the demands of a role that is critical to the financial and operational success of the company.
