As our Optometric Technician, you are the heartbeat of the patient experience. You will work closely with our optometrists to ensure patients receive thorough care and efficient service. Your goal is to make every patient feel comfortable and informed from the moment they walk into the exam room.


Responsibilities

• Patient Pre-testing: Perform diagnostic tests including auto-refraction, tonometry (NCT), retinal imaging (OCT/Optos), and visual field testing.
• Medical History: Accurately document patient complaints, medical history, and current medications in our EHR system.
• Patient Flow: Manage the clinic flow to ensure appointments stay on schedule while maintaining a high standard of care.
• Administrative Support: Help with phone triage, scheduling, and occasional insurance verification as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

• Communication: A friendly, professional demeanor with the ability to explain technical concepts simply.
• Detail-Oriented: Precision is vital when dealing with prescriptions and medical records.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using specialized ophthalmic equipment and electronic health records (EHR).
• Experience: [1+ year experience preferred / We are willing to train the right candidate with a background in healthcare or retail].
