Major Responsibilities Conduct diagnostic evaluations of communication disorders in children and adults, including language, articulation, voice, stuttering, and neurological disorders. Analyze client data and interpret test results. Provide remedial treatment in individual and group settings, using clinical techniques appropriate to each disorder. Recommend, design, and implement augmentative communication methods, such as communication boards and mechanical devices. Provide information about communication disorders to patients, families, and others. Design and establish home programs and other activities for carryover or reinforcement of therapy. Position Qualifications License/Certification/Education Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology. Current MA Speech Pathology license. Member of ASHA. Experience/Skills Attainment of the certificate of clinical competence. Effective verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated clinical knowledge. Excellent customer service skills and ability to work cooperatively with all members of the healthcare team. Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
