Registered Nurse - Stepdown Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position with an opportunity to extend.

Schedule

Shifts are 3x12 hours, with day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30 and night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Rotation between shifts may occur based on operational needs.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide patient care in the Stepdown Unit, with potential to float to other units as needed. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Document patient care activities and progress accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty required.
• Must have recent Stepdown Unit experience; PCU/Progressive care experience preferred.
• Active Ohio or Compact State Nursing License required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Must work at least every other holiday.
