Summer 2027 Intern: Global Onboarding Intern

The Assurant Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience where interns do not sit on the sidelines. You will gain real-world experience by tackling business challenges and helping drive meaningful outcomes. The program combines hands-on work with learning and development opportunities, mentorship, networking and engagement opportunities, and resources designed to support your professional growth. This program offers students meaningful, real-world experience while building foundational technical and business skills in a Fortune 500 organization.

Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Summer 2027 Intern to support Assurant’s Global Onboarding program, incorporating analytics and insights to improve.

This internship offers an opportunity to contribute to strategic work that improves how new employees connect, learn, and succeed across the organization. The intern will partner with leaders and team members to analyze onboarding data and feedback, identify opportunities for improvement, support program design, and help strengthen the end-to-end experiences for key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience applying analytics, research, design thinking, and project management skills to real business challenges while contributing to an enterprise-wide onboarding program.

What You'll Do The intern may support work in the following areas:

Global Onboarding Assess onboarding experiences and identify opportunities to improve the employee journey. Support the development of role-based and population-specific onboarding experiences. Analyze onboarding feedback and operational metrics. Help document employee journeys, personas, and process improvements.

Analytics & Insights Compile and analyze onboarding feedback, experience, and operational data. Create visualizations, dashboards, and reports that support onboarding decisions. Translate quantitative and qualitative data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations. Conduct research and benchmarking to identify onboarding trends and leading practices. Explore opportunities to use technology and AI-enabled tools to improve onboarding efficiency, measurement, and reporting.

Skills & Qualifications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret data and identify meaningful insights. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organization. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams. Experience with data visualization tools, survey platforms, or analytics tools is a plus. Curiosity, learning agility, and a desire to improve employee experiences.

What You'll Gain Exposure to enterprise Global Onboarding and employee experience work. Hands-on experience supporting an enterprise-wide People Organization program. Opportunities to work with senior leaders and cross-functional partners. Experience using data and insights to improve employee experience and solve business problems. Development of analytics, project management, communication, and consulting skills. Ownership of a meaningful project culminating in a capstone presentation to leaders.
