Executive Director, Talent Enablement Lead

Merck seeks an Executive Director to establish and lead the Talent Enablement function, providing strategic HR partnership and consulting support across global talent management initiatives. The role involves overseeing a team, guiding talent strategy execution, and ensuring effective collaboration between HR leadership and talent service delivery across a complex matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction and people leadership for the Talent Enablement function across divisions and geographies
Act as strategic thought partner to HR leadership and talent partners on integrated talent strategies and experiences
Oversee end-to-end execution of executive and critical talent programs including succession planning and leadership development
Establish operating rhythms, decision rights, and performance accountability for team and function
Translate business needs into strategic and operational talent actions while driving measurable pull-through across talent functions

Requirements

Minimum 12 years progressive HR experience in complex, global environments
Strategic HR partnership and business strategy experience
Deep knowledge of global talent management functions, tools, and processes
Strong data analytics capabilities and business acumen
Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive organizational change
Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field
Experience establishing strategic direction and multi-year talent plans
