You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.35 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Fri 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by location. Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel. Maintain accurate activity and incident documentation and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus representatives. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 2 years of security-related experience. Possess a New York State Security Guard License. Be 21 years of age or older. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
