Senior Property Accountant

Growing Real Estate firm seeks Senior Property Accountant Are you looking for an opportunity with a fast-growing Real Estate company? Our client is an influential leader in the real estate industry. As a key member of the Finance / Accounting Team, the Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and financial operations for a portfolio of properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property accounting and be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and other reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies. Manage the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and performing variance analysis. Assist in monitoring cash balances and forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity. Work with asset management and property management on funding requests. Assist with all financial operations including but not limited to treasury management, financial reporting, lender reporting, lender draws, and tax filings. Calculate asset management and construction management fees, while also ensuring monthly fees owed to partners are sent by the property management companies. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including preparing and filing tax returns, and maintaining proper records. Work with internal and external auditors to provide financial information and support for audits. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in property accounting Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel. Experience with property management software and financial accounting software, such as Yardi. #J-18808-Ljbffr Frederick Fox
